Types of Membership and Registration

I MEMBERSHIP

Members of the Chamber shall be classified as follows:

  • Individual Membership:

Any individual, retailer, restaurateur or travel agency with only ticketing business, having strong interest in the Objects of the Society and also having interest in the field of industrial, commercial, professional services and any other economic activities can be an individual Member of the Chamber.
The current Individual membership fee is INR. 2000/- (Rupees Two Thousand Only) valid for one fiscal year, renewable thereafter .

  • Corporate Membership:

Any company, institution, organization, manufacturing firm, partnership firm, hotel owner or travel agency with tours and ticketing business, union body, having strong interest in the Objects of the Society and also having interest in the field of industrial, commercial, professional services and any other economic activities can be a Corporate Member of the Chamber.
The current corporate membership fee is INR. 5000/- (Rupees Five Thousand Only) valid for one fiscal year , renewable thereafter.

  • Honorary Membership:

Any individual, company, institution or organization that has rendered, or is capable of rendering, noteworthy contributions in the fulfillment of the objectives of the Chamber may be granted an honorary membership of the Chamber for three years through a decision of the Governing Body. His/her membership may be renewed after the expiry of term. Honorary members shall not have the voting right and will not be elected to represent the Chamber.

 

II PROCEDURES FOR OBTAINING MEMBERSHIP AND FEES

 

  • Procedures to be followed for obtaining Chamber’s Membership
  1. Completed filled application form.
  2. Recommendation from the Chamber’s incumbent member
  3. Name and Status of two persons representing firms at the Chamber in case of Corporate member
  4. Name of the Firm, address, signature and relation of signee with the firm
  5. Membership Registration Fee is IRs 5000  for corporate membership , IRs.2000  for individual membership, No membership fee is charged for the honorary membership.
  •  Renewal of Membership
  1. Within the month of April every fiscal year
  2. Complete filled application form.
  3. Orginal NCC’s Membership certificate.
  4. Annual renew fee is Rs 5000 IC. for corporate membership , Rs.2000 IC for individual membership, No membership fee is charged for the honorary membership.
  5. The membership fees shall be payable annually in advance for each fiscal year to the Chamber. The fiscal year of the Chamber shall be from April 1st to March 31st of each year.
  6. The Governing Body shall take the final decision to grant or reject any application for membership, and the membership shall be deemed to have commenced from the date when the Governing Body approves its membership.

 

III RESIGNATION, DISQUALIFICATION, MEMBERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Resignation :

Any member may resign from the Chamber upon written notice to the Governing Body

  • Disqualification:

Membership in the organization shall be subject to termination upon a finding by the Governing Body, of conduct unbecoming a Member of the WSTCC, other misconduct or behavior detrimental to the objectives and goals of this organization. Dismissal shall be decided by a 2/3 vote of the Governing Body. No vote on the question of suspension and/or expulsion may be held until ten days written notice has been given to the Member concerned and adequate time for a hearing has been allowed.

  • Membership duties, rights and responsibilities:
  1. A Member has the duty to uphold the Memorandum of Association of the Chamber and its rules and regulation.
  2. A Member has the right to receive any and all literature distributed by the Chamber.
  3. All Members shall make reasonable efforts to attend all annual meetings.
  4. No Member shall represent WSTCC to any other organization, individual or the public as representing WSTCC without prior approval of the Governing Body.
  5. No Member shall enter into or obligate WSTCC into any contract or service without prior approval of the Governing Body.
  6. Any Member who violates any of these provisions may be censured or removed from WSTCC in accordance with the procedures provided in Article .
